FFPE RNA can be of very low quality, due to damage occurring during both the fixation process and subsequent storage. Further, it is often available only in very low quantities, creating an even more difficult challenge for library preparation. The NEBNext rRNA Depletion Kit is ideally suited for use with low quality samples such as FFPE RNA, due its complete tiling of rRNA probes, and high-efficiency RNase H-based method. Using this in combination with the NEBNext Ultra II Directional RNA Library Prep Kit, provides a high-performance library preparation workflow for even low quality FFPE RNA samples.
