The Fidelity Index which measures the minimum units to produce star activity was determined using the following conditions; 1X NEBuffer, 5% glycerol, lambda DNA HindIII digest (1µg/50 µl), incubated for 1 hour at 37˚C . The minimum number of units of SalI-HF required to produce star activity in the recommended rCutSmart Buffer™  is (≥2,000 units). The minimum number of units of SalI required to produce star activity in the recommended NEBuffer r3.1 is (4 units).The minimum number of units of SalI required to produce star activity in rCutSmart Buffer is (0.03 units).
